St Neots

The Inner Wheel Club of St Neots meet the third Monday of the month (except August and December) at Eynesbury Warehouse at 7.30pm. The Club currently has 27 members and was chartered in 1949.

St Neots is an old market town on the banks of the River Great Ouse and a weekly market has been held here for over 1000 years.

In the tenth century a priory was built and it was here that a bone of St Neot was brought from its resting place in the Cornish village of St Neots. The relic has long since been lost.

Our Charter Celebration will be held on 16 March 2008 at Waterside Wyboston Lakes.

We have a special “blanket” project this year and we are all busy knitting squares for St John’s Ambulance.    These will be made into blankets for emergency use.
