The Inner
Wheel Club of Ashby de la Zouch meets at 7.15 for 7.30pm on the second Thursday
of the month (except December) at The Royal Hotel, Bath Street,
Ashby-de-la-Zouch. They currently have
21 members and were formed in 1967.
Ashby-de-la-Zouch has a fictional connection with Sir Walter Scott’s Ivanhoe. Before writing the book he visited Ashby and set the Tournament on the outskirts of the town in what is now known as Tournament Field.
