The Inner Wheel Club of Corby received its charter in 1958 and currently has 21 members. It meets on the first Tuesday of the month (except August) at 7.00pm at The Hunting Lodge Hotel, Cottingham.
Corby can be traced back to the Bronze Age but the present town’s development began in the 1930s with the establishment of the steelworks. Nearby Rockingham Castle was built by William the Conqueror and the Domesday Book spells Corby as Corbei which is another name for the raven, hence the bird is depicted on the town’s coat of arms.
