The Inner Wheel Club of Rutland meet at 6.45 for 7.00pm April to September and 12 noon for 12.30pm October to March on the second Wednesday of the month at The Old Wisteria Hotel, Oakham. The Club was chartered in 1957 and currently has 27 members.
The motto in the coat of arms for Rutland is ‘Multum in parvo’ which means ‘so much in so little’. Rutland, once part of Leicestershire after the county reorganisation of 1974, regained its unitary status in 1997 and is England’s smallest county. Although small, just twenty miles across, it boasts the largest man made lake in the country.
