The Inner Wheel Club of Wigston received its Charter in 1976 and currently have 14 members. They meet at Hawthorn House, Paddock Street, Wigston on the fourth Wednesday of the month (except July) at 7.30pm.
Wigston was formerly known as ‘Wigston Two Steeples’ in the reign of Henry VIII as it has two parish churches. All Saints has the taller steeple and is the larger church and St Wistans, the other church which was formerly known as St Wolstans. This image of two steeples is used by the Rotary Club, Inner Wheel Club and local High School as their motif.
